Welcome
to the web site of First Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville,
Tennessee.
It is my pleasure as the minister of this wonderful
Congregation and on behalf of the.jpg) Session of Elders and Board of
Deacons to welcome you to our web site.
I also want to invite you to learn more about us through
this website or if you are in the area to join us for worship or
Christian Education or fellowship. We are proud of our rich history,
founded in 1815 as a congregation but we are not stuck in that rich
past as we are building on that heritage.
We
believe that is God inspiring us for the future to become a connected
community of servants to our brothers and sisters in our community and
the world. If this sounds like a place, you would like to be a part of
-- try us.
We worship on Sunday mornings at 8:45 and 11 a.m.
and our church school is from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Our youth group meets Sunday evenings at 5. Wednesday
evenings Bible Study is at 5:15, dinner is at 6 and our adult choir
rehearses at 7.
